Entourage Beauty Constance Zimmer Brings Love to Grey’s Anatomy

Actress Constance Zimmer was Dana Gordon on HBO’s Entourage, but there’s a nice hospital gig in her future. Zimmer is coming to Grey’s Anatomy as a possible love interest for one of Seattle Grace’s own.
Zimmer’s role will be a recurring one, TVLine announced. The actress will bring to life Dr. Cahill, a gutsy, smart gal with razor sharp wit.
Speculation is growing that the spitfire Dr. Cahill might be the mysterious new love interest that series creator Shonda Rhimes said was finally coming for the character of Alex. Acted by Justin Chambers, Alex hasn’t had much luck in love.
“We’re going to watch Alex really grow up and step up this season,” Rhimes said, “and find real love with somebody who doesn’t leave him for once.”
Zimmer’s other television spots have included gigs on Royal Pains, Boston Legal and The New Normal.
Zimmer is also attached to the upcoming Netflix original series, called House of Cards. The political drama was developed by David Fincher, Kevin Spacey and Beau Willimon. Fincher, of course, was behind Panic Room, The Social Network and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo reboot. That’s enough to make me keep an eye out for that one. It will also start Spacey and Robin Wright.
It is season nine for Grey’s. The November 15 episode was called “Second Opinion”. In the episode, Cristina finally returns to Seattle Grace. The crash victims formally meet to discuss the lawsuit. Jo’s big patient is nicknamed “Santa Claus” and constantly vomits on her. What a joy. Derek and Callie can’t agree about his career, or the operation on his hand.
Meanwhile, Jackson tells April he has real feelings for her confesses and at the end the plane crash discover that the legal team has their sights on the hospital and Owen for their settlement deal.
You can enjoy Grey’s Thursday nights on ABC.
