For years actress Lisa Edelstein was brave enough to grapple with a very difficult Dr. Gregory House on the well-loved Fox medical series. Now she’s headed to a new sort of house; a House of Lies. The Showtime series based upon the book, House of Lies: How Management Consultants Steal Your Watch and Then Tell You the Time, written by Martin Kihn, will welcome the Cuddy actress to their second season.
That’s right, House of Lies has earned the pick up for an new second season. Edelstein is in the guest role of Brynn, a whip-smart, very sultry political consultant. Marty, star, Don Cheadle’s character, will tango with Brynn on one of his assignments next season.
Even after Edelstein left House, she continued working in television. We’ve seen her on the CBS series The Good Wife and EW spoke of her upcoming guest slot on Elementary. That should be interesting.
Here’s some trivia. Did you ever see Edlestein’s Frasier episode? She played a very, very free spirit who was dating the doc, encouraging him to explore his wild side. In fact, before she was through with him, her character had him quite literary howling at the moon.
Along with Cheadle, House of Lies stars Kristen Bell, Ben Schwartz, Josh Lawson, Dawn Olivieri, Donis Leonard Jr., Glynn Turman and recurring cast member Greg Germann.
The show, which could have just as easily been called “Tank of Sharks” follows the busy lives of corporate consultants. You can catch it on Showtime with the new season kicks off on Sunday, Jan. 13 at 10 p.m.
In the season one finale, titled “The Mayan Apocalypse”, Greg Norbert assists Marty and the Pod to battle against the MetroCapital acquisition. Jeannie makes an important decision about marrying Wes and meanwhile Marty’s son Roscoe makes a very heave decision of his own.
