TV’s Familiar Faces Gather to TNT’s Legends

On the ABC thriller, Revenge, actress Amber Valletta, as Lydia Davis, has flip flopped between being Victoria’s best friend and sleeping with Conrad. Now Valletta is headed to a brand new TNT pilot called Legends. She’s joining Game of Thrones alum, Sean Bean!
We have very high expectations for Legends because this pilot comes from executive producer Howard Gordon who works on the runaway hit, Homeland. The plot of Legends is based upon the novel written by Robert Littell. Like Homeland, Legends does involve intrigue.
Actors 90210‘s Rob Mayes; Big Love and Grey’s Anatomy alum Tina Majorino and Lux Haney Jardine of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter have also been cast in the pilot in which Bean stars as Martin Odum, “a deep-cover CIA operative” who Deadline explains, is a total chameleon. The agent can lose himself completely when becoming a new person for each under cover assignment. This reminds me of The Saint and even Dollhouse, you know, without the science fiction elements.
Valletta has won the role of Martin’s ex-wife and the mother of his adolescent daughter, Aiden, acted by Jardine. She’s a feisty youngster, too. Rob Mayes will act as Troy, who is ex-Special Ops, with a “mission-first mentality”, who is now on the job as a federal agent with DCO. Majorino’s character is Maggie, a newbie to the DCO field support team. I’ve got to say the cast looks pretty well rounded.
Mayes has a recurring role on Lifetime’s The Client List and stars in John Dies At The End, a unique flick we’ve been following here at Boomtron, which premiers next month. Aside from Grey’s Majorino has also appeared on True Blood. Gordon, Jeffrey Nachmanoff and Mark Bomback developed Legends together and the pilot will be produced by Fox 21. Let’s hope it finds full season status soon enough.
