Jesse McCartney Enlists In Army Wives Season 7
Ever wondered how actor and singer Jesse McCartney might look in uniform? Fans of the Lifetime series Army Wives will find out when season seven kicks off this year. McCartney will act as Private Tim Truman.
Season seven of Army Wives is already taking shape. As I recently reported, actor Burgess Jenkins will play Maggie’s husband, Staff Sgt. Eddie Hall and Tony Award nominee, Joshua Henry, has been cast as Quincy, Latasha’s husband. Maggie is Torrey DeVitto and Ashanti is Latasha, by the way. There’s lot’s of new characters and all new drama in store.
Now, THR reports that Jesse McCartney has also been cast. His is a recurring role. The actor who has enjoyed stints on Greek, Summerland and All My Children, will play a very motivated, “enthusiastic” young soldier. This should be good to watch because McCartney has been nominated for two Daytime Emmy Awards and a Grammy. He earned the Emmy nomination for his role as J.R. Chandler on All My Children, in fact. McCartney’s character, Private Truman, will play the husband of another new series regular, Elle McLemore’s Holly Truman.
Guess what! McCartney will appear in at least 11 episodes. Production for the new season begins next week in Charleston, S.C. Did you know he was also a voice actor? He has lent his pipes to projects like Alvin and the Chipmunks, Horton Hears a Who and Cartoon Network’s Young Justice. He voices Nightwing, a.k.a Dick Grayson on that super hero series. He’s even a part of the video game franchise, Kingdom Hearts. And hey, did you catch him in the horror flick, Chernobyl Diaries?
Brush up on your trivia. Do you recall the name of McCartney’s boy band? We do! It was called Dream Street. Also a noteworthy occurrence in his musical life was when he co-wrote a song in 2007 with Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic. That song is “Bleeding Love” which British singer Leona Lewis made famous in her album Spirit. I just love that song.
