To fans of CW’s Supernatural, actress Felicia Day is lady leftist lesbian Charlene “Charlie” Bradbury, a hacker extraordinaire with gamer and fangirl tendencies. Case in point, she has a rather unique tattoo that involves Princess Leia, her infamous bikini and a 20-sided die. She’s a geek godddess and she’s coming back for her third caper with the brothers Winchester.
Just this month Sam and Dean were investigating some murders within the LARPing community and were pleasantly surprised to find the Queen of Moondoor was their old friend Charlie. Sparks flew in the episode, titled “LARP and the Real Girl”, as Charlie gets involved with a fairy named Gilda who has been forced to harm people.
One of the most comical elements of that episode was a key spellbook, which happened to be purchased off of ebay. You never know what you’ll find there!
According to TV Line, it is usually Charlie helping the Winchesters during her guest appearances, but in a future episode, it will be Charlie who has a case she’d like the brothers to help solve. It is coming to the airwaves during the late part of Season 8. So, we just saw Charlie, but it will be nice to see her yet again.
Felicia Day is also recognizable from her days on Eureka and Annoying Orange as well as the web series she created called The Guild.
Season 8 of Supernatural has also seen guest stars Misha Collins as Castiel, Liane Balaban as Amelia, Ty Olsson as Benny, Mark A. Sheppard as Crowley, Osric Chau as Kevin Tran, Amanda Tapping as Naomi, and Tyler Johnston as Samandriel.
Will there be a season 9? The simple answer to that question is, we aren’t sure yet. CW head, Mark Pedowitz was quoted as saying both Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles were under contract for a future season, however. “Creatively, the show is in a good place,” he said, continuing to show big support for the cult series.
Plenty episodes of season 8 remain. The Jan. 30 episode will be called “As Time Goes By”. Don’t miss Supernatural on the CW’s Wednesday night line up.
