Reports about Arrow‘s exciting second season have been trickling in. You can add today’s headline to the pot. Fans, prepare to get even more Deathstroke, well more of Manu Bennett’s Slade Wilson character to be exact.
One flash bang of a cool first season is currently winding down. That’s not to say there aren’t plenty of thrills left in the CW’s comic book series. The March 20 episode was called “The Huntress Returns” and I daresay, this was an installment fans were drooling over.
We previously reported that Teen Wolf hottie, Colton Haynes, would be promoted to regular status for season 2. He plays Roy Harper in the show and could potentially become some version of the DC Comics hero, Arsenal.
Well, actor Many Bennett’s situation is a bit similar. THR reported that Bennett would also be bumped up to the level of a series regular when season 2 reloads.
Now, in the comics Slade Wilson becomes the villain Deathstroke. Producers won’t say whether or not we can expect a similar metamorphosis in the series. In fact, this season has shown multiple Deathstrokes. Can you say decoy!? And Slade has so far proven an ally to Stephen Amell’s Oliver. This has been revealed t audiences flashbacks to their time together on the island.
Emily Bett Rickards is also on the show’s list of promotions. The actress plays Felicity, Oliver’s go to source of research and information. As of episode 14, titled “The Odyssey”, Felicity knows Oliver’s secret. She even visited the lair.
When season 2 of Arrow was announced it came as an early renewal, quite a spoil of war for the popular show.
Check in with the current season on Wednesday nights. The show was developed by Greg Berlanti,
Marc Guggenheim and Andrew Kreisberg. Executive producer David Nutter directed the pilot. He happens to also be the director of Smallville‘s pilot from way back when.
