Travel Under the Dome With A Special First Look

Under the Dome

You heard it here when the upcoming Stephen King adaptation series, Under the Dome selected former Breaking Bad actor Dean Norris to be its star. Today, you can also see the very first look behind the scenes of the exciting new 13-episode CBS sci-fi series slated to start on June 24. You’ll see Norris in action as his town grapples with the completely unexpected.

Right away two of the stars I recognize in the teasing beginning footage are Rachelle Lefevre and Aisha Hinds. Lefevre is Julia, an investigative reporter and Hinds will play Carolyn Hill, a Los Angeles entertainment attorney who is trapped in the small town of Chester’s Mill with her partner and teenage daughter. They were only passing through on an important trip, when inexplicably the town is cut off from the rest of the world by a massive and impenetrable, clear dome. In today’s video, you can hear directly from the author of the original novel, Mr. Stephen King. King also serves as an executive producer on the TV project.

Britt Robertson of The Secret Circle also has a central role in Under the Dome and will spend some time walking you through the set. Her thread is especially intense. She will play Angie McAlister, an aspiring nurse who can’t wait to leave Chester’s Mill. At least one other character, we have heard, is obsessed with her. That can’t be good.

You’ll even meet the special effects coordinator in today’s video.

You know Stephen King. If that name isn’t a big enough draw, what do you think about Amblin entertainment? That’s right, Steven Spielberg is involved with Niels Arden Oplev directing the pilot and Brian K. Vaughan adapting the novel into a screenplay. This should be good!

Also appearing are Mike Vogel as Dale “Barbie” Barbara; Colin Ford as intrepid teenager, Joe; Natalie Martinez as Deputy Linda; Alex Koch as Junior Rennie; Nicholas Strong as a town radio D.J.; and Jolene Purdy as Dodee.
