Twilight: Eclipse – movie review
I thought Eclipse was the best of the three movies so far, though not by as large a margin over New Moon as New Moon was over Twilight. New director David Slade retained the same look established by the first installment and continued, for better or worse (in my opinion worse) by the second. The only [...]
The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner by Stephenie Meyer – review
I’m assuming if you’re reading this you like Twilight and have already read the other books, yes? And you want one of two things from me here–a recommendation about whether this new novella is worth picking up and paying the $9-$14 for (discount dependent), or a discussion of OMG What It Revealed. In the interests [...]
New Twilight Book from Stephenie Meyer!
Stephenie Meyer, author of the Twilight Saga, announced today on her website that she will have a new book published June 5. The story is titled The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner. It is, as the name suggests (and as long-time fans may know from reading Stephenie’s website “cover-to-cover”), the story of Bree, the [...]
Twilight Breaking Dawn in Pre-Production
Twilight fans finally have a piece of news about the movie adaptation of the saga’s final novel, Breaking Dawn. In grabbing Jagger’s third daughter, they landed the crowned Model of the Year in 2009′s British Fashion Awards. Donatella Versace said this of May: She’s smart, a strong personality, [...]
Twilight New Moon – movie review

Going to a midnight movie is an experience that has to be included in the review of the film. First, who was there? Mostly female–about 1 in 10 people were male–and not as many shrieking junior high girls as I expected. The audience was mostly high school/early college kids and adult women. Didn’t see any grandmothers, but there were at least a couple bona fide cougars there. Rrroooow. And who were they picking up? Was it the two dudes running around in actual Twilight T-shirts? Was it the unintentional (or was it?) Emmett with his hat sideways?
