Elena’s World – My Thoughts on Shane Acker’s 9
Shane Acker’s 9 is a movie that has been much anticipated around BSCReview. We pretty thoroughly covered the media blitz for this movie, all of which I found intriguing and enticing: the date tie-in, “9/9/9: 9.” The taglines—“When our world ended, their world began,” and, “This isn’t your little brother’s animated movie.” The previews that showed crumbling relics of human civilization awash in a post-nuclear-holocaust yellow and creepy machines that have taken the place of natural predators. The teasers that just flashed the numbers and characters 1-9 with epic music scoring the montage.

New Images from Tim Burton’s ’9′
I’ve received 4 new sweet images from 9, coming from the minds of Shane Acker and Tim Burton, that you’ve seen pimped extensively here at BSC. The film will features the voices of a cast that includes Elijah Wood, John C. Reilly, Jennifer Connelly, Crispin Glover, Martin Landau, and Christopher Plummer among others. I’m starting to think we can piece together/storyboard the film via all the promo material, but it all looks gorgeous, so no complaints!

Well at least listen to them! During their panel at SDCC the team behind 9 reveal a 4-minute clip from the film. IGN has landed it and put it online.

Extended clip – 5 minutes of Shane Acker’s ‘9′
Well, just under 5 minutes. The quality of the video seems a bit sketch, but it’s still nice to see more footage of a movie that I definitely want to see. Previously we’ve seen the trailer, another clip, and of course the original short film that the feature is based on.
