Bruce Willis the O.G. in G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation?
Okay, let’s clear the air. I despised G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and didn’t have high hopes for the sequel, but Bruce Willis is now circling an interesting role in G.I. Joe: Retribution (formerly G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes), and that news is all kinds of action-movie goodness. No signatures have been put on contracts [...]
Die Hard 5 Gets a Director
The fifth installment in the Die Hard series has a director, according to THR, and it’s a gamble so big that John McClaine himself would be impressed. The guy at the action film’s helm is Noam Murro, a commercials director who has been nominated five times for the DGA’s director of the year award, and [...]
Red – movie review
I love Bruce Willis, and as a fan of Weeds, I’ve grown to like Mary-Louise Parker – and let’s face it, everyone’s a fan of Morgan Freeman. Wild dogs couldn’t have stopped me from seeing the movie Red, which is a good thing, because it was awesome. Red (or, Retired and Extremely Dangerous) was the perfect mix [...]
Red International Trailer
The latest and greatest international trailer for upcoming spy action spectacular Red. Yes, these former agents may be retired, but they as dangerous as ever, “Retired and Extremely Dangerous”, in fact. Bruce Willis, Helen Mirren, Mary-Lousie Parker (Willis’s love interest), John Malkovich, and Morgan Freeman star in this oh so funny graphic novel adaptation, directed [...]
Warren Ellis’ ‘Red’ trailer – Bruce Willis and John Malkovich
While Geekdom is all aflutter about the upcoming adaptation of Warren Ellis and Cully Hammer’s graphic novel Red, showing their support at the recent San Diego Comicon festivities, the rest of you will have to settle for another look at the movie itself. BSC first brought you the trailer for Red, which stands for “Retired [...]
‘Red’ (Warren Ellis) trailer with Bruce Willis and Mary-Louise Parker
Retired. Extremely. Dangerous. The trailer for Bruce Willis’s next film hit Yahoomovies today, and we have to say we’re impressed. Bringing together Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren, John Malkovich, and Mary-Louise Parker, it sports an amazing ensemble and the energy level of a summer blockbuster. Not bad for an October 15 release date. Featured here is [...]
Kevin Smith’s Cop Out trailer
Cop Out, the Kevin Smith directed film that used to be called A Couple of Dicks, now has a trailer that was released by Apple. This one stars Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan as two NYPD cops investigating (something I can appreciate) a stolen collectible in the form of a baseball card. I remember listening to to one of Smith’s “Evenings” (which are rather damn funny) where he talked about Willis calling him up post-Die Hard about doing a future film, so this is pretty sweet.

Eli’s Plot Twist – Surrogates review

Surrogates is blandy mcbland-bland milquetoast sci-fi action which fails to capitalize on easy plot points and treats the audience like drooling idiots. Jonathan Mostow is the maker of this mediocre movie, leaving behind the noir sensibilities of the comics for Law and Order meets CSI procedural boredom and primary color palette.

new Surrogates trailer

A couple of weeks ago I posted information about Top Shelf’s promotion of Surrogates, a title being adapted into a film starring Bruce Willis. Also in that post was a featurette for the movie. Today Myspace released a new trailer.

The Surrogates preview + more
Last week I got the Top Shelf newsletter with some Surrogates information related to sales of the comics and promo material to support the forthcoming film. If you aren’t familiar with the title, I’d first say that I wouldn’t confuse the source material for Surrogates with another of these movie-options-a-day comics you see pop up (some of which aren’t even published yet). It’s actually a very solid comic and you can picture somebody reading it and thinking that it has merit. Yesterday, a preview/featurette was released for the film (starring Bruce Willis) via standard movie media (not Top Shelf) so I figured it’s a pretty good time to collect them all now here.

DVD Review – Sin City
Director: Frank Miller, Robert Rodriguez Starring: Bruce Willis, Jessica Alba, Mickey Rourke Studio: Dimension Films Release Date: August 16, 2005 Without a doubt, “Sin City” is one of the most visually impressive movies I’ve ever seen. I went into it knowing almost nothing about the “Sin City” graphic novels (which I’ve regrettably not read as [...]
