Captain America: The First Avenger – movie review
Captain America: The First Avenger is the latest entry into Marvel’s Cinematic Universe. For years now Marvel has been building its continuity, marching purposefully towards next year’s team-up movie, The Avengers. For the first time I wondered “Are casual audiences going to understand this movie?” When Thor came out in May, it was riddled with [...]
Captain America: The First Avenger – Review
Captain America was created in response to World War Two. Steve Rogers was the ideal man. Not in body but in spirit. He wanted to fight for his country despite getting turned down at every opportunity. While a great goal for comic book authors it also dated Captain America. He is a symbol of what [...]
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and Captain America Posters
Just in case the recently yanked ‘red-band’ trailer for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo didn’t clue you in on the fact that the movie would be a bit on the edgy side, the recent posters from IndieWire and SlashFilm should give you a hint of what’s in store. At least these international posters reveal [...]
Wachowski’s Cloud Atlas Adds Hugo Weaving and Ben Whishaw, Confirmed Halle Berry
The film already being hailed as the next Matrix has put some more casting decisions in writing. Tom Hanks signed on to the Wachowski project called Cloud Atlas already. Now he is joined by Hugo Weaving and Ben Whishaw, according to THR. Weaving is soon to be seen in Captain America: The First Avenger and [...]

I hold in my hot little hand the November 5 edition of Entertainment Weekly. Who is brightening up the cover? None other than Chris Evans, the actor starring as Captain America: The First Avenger. We’ve got the pics from their exclusive first look at the film, for your viewing pleasure. The last time we delivered [...]
‘The Wolfman’ Super Bowl Commercial
I have to admit being slack on The Wolfman coverage, as there has been some sweet posters that I haven’t had the time to note that are even more awesome than the ones we have noted (which are pretty damn cool to begin with). The film is coming from David Self (Road to Perdition, Thirteen [...]
The Wolf Man Posters – a Blunt and a Werewolf!

That could be the title of my debut novel. Two new posters for The Wolf Man hit the web yesterday via AICN and Cinematical (this I can deal with, unlike individual ’9′ posters exclusively given to 48 sites, 44 of which I’d never want to visit). This film as a great quartet of names to headline in Emily Blunt, Anthony Hopkins, Hugo Weaving, and Benicio del Toro! Previously we’ve posted multiple trailers and some images from the film. I dig these posters, particularly the Blunt, because in that one you tangibly fear what’s not even on the poster–very nice.

del Toro: Weaving rejoining McKellan and Serkis in The Hobbit?
The director of the forthcoming The Hobbit films, Guillermo del Toro, has recently announced the return of Hugo Weaving and possibly confirmed the return of Ian McKellan and Andy Serkis to the Tolkien landscape during an interview with the BBC’s Simon Mayo. Weaving returns to reprise his role as Elrond, perhaps rejoining Mckellan (Gandalf) and Serkis (Gollum) in the film adaptations from the book chronicling the adventures of Bilbo.
