Movie Review – Inglourious Basterds

Quentin Tarantino has created a mythical WW2 movie that combines high art kitsch with grindhouse sensibilities. This is Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time WW2 movie, a true homage to the classic WW2 films of yesteryear, a distilling of all the great tropes of the genre into brilliant one film.

Inglourious Basterds trailer – Nation’s Pride
New Inglourious Basterds (viral trailer) by Eli Roth, a bit of a meta text within text (but in film).

A couple of Inglourious Basterds TV Spots
Seems like it’s been a while since we’ve had an Inglourious Basterds item on BSC, so today we will get our fix via Kill ‘Em All and According to Plan, two TV spots for the film. New footage is slim, but it is there–as usual lots of killin’ Nazis.

Pitt steppin’ on Nazis – new Inglourious Basterds poster
Seems like this is a movie of posters. Just last week we got some sweet character posters that matched an Italian poster we got just earlier. Now we have another one featuring Pitt playing King of the Hill with some Nazis.

An Italian Job! A Matching Set of Inglourious Basterds posters
Last month we got this snappy Italian poster that showed the Basterds as a group in what I think may be the best poster/one-sheet we’ve seen yet from the film. Today Empire has debuted a quartet of character posters in the same mold, and they are (in)glorious!

Inglourious Basterds International trailer
Just over a week ago we got our second trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds and now we have an international trailer that has quite a bit of new footage (or at least footage I have not seen). In related news, last week Harvey Weinstein put the beat down on the online rumors that were [...]
Second Official Inglourious Basterds Trailer

Yesterday we posted the ET teaser of the next trailer for Tarantino’s Inglorious Basterds, which is now out in its entirety without the ET hosts talking over it, and around a minute longer.

ET premiers new Inglourious Basterds trailer
Pretty nice minus all of the inconsequential babbling by the hosts. I think this is the first footage anybody not in Cannes has seen since May.

Inglourious Basterds in Italy
I keep meaning to and forgetting to take some pics of the movie posters over here. Luckily much more enterprising folks have done the work for me and have an image od the very and typically stylish Italian poster for Quentin Tarantino’s (or the Weinstein’s depending on who you ask post-Cannes) Inglourious Basterds.

3 Inglourious (Basterd) Minutes (HD)
Last night 3 clips from Tarantino’s next film were released that when added up gives us just slightly less than 3 minutes of the film. Inglourious Basterds is at Cannes, but has a worldwide (or at least a U.S.) release date of August 21st.

more images from Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds
A group of photos from the next feature from Quentin Tarantino, Inglourious Basterds, have hit the web. I’ve also included some that I hadn’t posted before and weren’t part of this new batch.

Inglourious Basterds posters
These posters for Tarantino’s forthcoming Inglourious Basterds (starting with the Pitt) started popping up awhile ago, but I figured there would be a set and just wanted to wait for some more to come out, and 2 more have popped up.
