Daybreakers – movie review
Daybreakers, AKA 2010′s first vampire movie, is a pretty solid movie-going experience. It delivers on its trailers, presenting an eerie future where almost all the humans on earth have been changed into vampires–and in having done so not just not solved but actually worsened all of the problems and injustices in the world. The blood supply is on the verge of exhaustion, blood prices are skyrocketing beyond the reach of most of the populace, the number of vampires feeding on each other or themselves and becoming mutated monsters is exploding, and a non-toxic substitute has yet to be found. Chief hematologist for the largest blood supplier, Edward Dalton (Ethan Hawke), only thinks he has problems…until he encounters a group of humans who want him to find a cure. Not for the blood supply crisis, but for vampirism itself.

Daybreakers – New Poster
Way back in June I posted the first trailer for Daybreakers, a near-future Vampire film staring Isabel Lucas, Ethan Hawke, William Dafoe, and Sam Neil. My thoughts on the whole Vampire (and Zombie) scene are repeated much too often, but this poster actually looks different than I –and I think you- -would suspect.

Transformers’ Lucas not appearing with Sursara
Transformers starlet Isabel Lucas is reportedly feuding with former friend, actress Elissa Sursara who is tipped for MTV’s new Teen Wolf pilot. The former house mates were set to appear in Rights Revoked, an animal rights documentary examining the links between animals and fashion, cosmetics, food and entertainment, however Lucas has backed out.

Isabel Lucas, Edwin Hodge, Josh Hutcherson & Connor Cruise in Red Dawn remake
The upcoming Red Dawn remake has added to its cast that already included Chris Hemsworth, Josh Peck and Adrianne Palicki. According to THR, joining them are Isabel Lucas (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen), Josh Hutcherson (Zathura), Connor Cruise (Seven Pounds) and Edwin Hodge (Mental and I think Boston Public) are all on board.
