Apparently, at the very best, it’s not yet. You may recall that yesterday we pointed to a report by AICN that had some rumors regarding the Green Lantern film. The most believable part of that report was the subject of Collider’s questions with Jackie Earle Haley at the Scream Awards.

A Nightmare on Elm Street teaser trailer
It’s been a bit since we got news on the upcoming Nightmare on Elm Street. In the middle of the year we learned that Jackie Earle Haley (at the time Fresh on the Watchmen buzz) as Freddy Krueger, got a look at him in character and a poster. This is a pretty lengthy teaser going for over 2 minutes.

Rorschach to play Freddy Krueger
Jackie Earle Haley, most recently of Watchmen, has been signed on to play Freddy Krueger, the role previously, and famously portrayed by Robert Englund. The movie begins filming May in Chicago and is directed by Samuel Bayer. It’s scheduled for an April 2010 release from New Line Cinema.
