Explore James Cameron’s AVATAR at DISNEY
If you were blown away by the world of Pandora in James Cameron’s Avatar, you might be excited to know that you will soon have a chance to have your own otherworldly Avatar adventure when you visit Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
James Cameron Roles with Shawn Levy on a Fantastic Voyage
Shawn Levy has been picked to steer James Cameron’s Fantastic Voyage onto the big screen, according to Deadline. Levy stood out from a crowd that included Darren Aronofsky, Timur Bekmambetov, Jonathan Mostow and Louis Leterrier to direct the re-imagining of the 1966 movie, which revolves around a team of scientists who undergo an experimental process [...]
Sanctum – Video Review
I review the new TV shows, movies, and recap the episodes you missed. Supposedly Sanctum is the next James Cameron movie but he really doesn’t have that much to do with it. They tout his name hoping it will make more people interested in seeing this survival thriller set in a cave. Sanctum is inspired [...]
James Cameron – Avatar 2 and 3 To Be Shot Together, Cast Back.
If James Cameron films them, the audiences will come. What are they? They are the next two chapters of the cinematic Avatar trilogy. And I’m sure director Cameron is betting they will pack audiences into the theaters big time. EW.com reports the Terminator and Titanic director unleashed the news at the recent PGA Awards that [...]
Guillermo del Toro Updates Mountains of Madness
Producer/Director Guillermo del Toro has a pretty full schedule these days with work on both a movie based on Disney’s Haunted Mansion attraction and the animated Alma, but he hasn’t forgotten about At the Mountains of Madness, the adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft’s novella that horror fans and Lovecraft fans are anxiously awaiting. According to the [...]
James Cameron’s Avatar to be a Trilogy with Avatar 2 and 3
In a move that surprised no one, James Cameron has signed on to direct Avatar 2 and 3 for a film trilogy of the immensely successful film, reports Variety. In this day and age when sequels are made from films that barely break even, it was just a matter of time before it was announced [...]
James Cameron on Angelina Jolie and Cleopatra
James Cameron is weighing his next potential projects, and for those of you fanboys who think that Avatar was not avatarded and would like to see a sequel–well, it’s not out of the question, but it may not be next. Cameron seems to have his sights set on Cleopatra with Angelina Jolie, though he’s the [...]
James Cameron’s True Lies to ABC
It has always been my favorite James Cameron film since it came out in 1994, and now, according to THR, it is getting the TV treatment for ABC. Leading the way is showrunner Rene Echevarria, whose previous credits include Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and The 4400. Pretty good credentials, but for me, the ultimate [...]
Guillermo Del Toro and James Cameron Climb Lovecraft’s Mountains of Madness
Deadline reports that Guillermo Del Toro and James Cameron will be teaming up for a definitive take on At the Mountains of Madness, the classic H.P. Lovecraft novella about the dark origins of mankind. Following a grisly revelation on an Antarctic expedition, it becomes apparent that modern man evolved from a horrid race of creatures [...]
Avatar – movie review
Avatar is a great film. Here is a movie that will actually surprise you and offer things you have never seen before. James Cameron has delivered a special effects powerhouse that is actually an extended acid trip in the jungle. The human tech is underwhelming, so is the heavy-handed theme, but consider these as elements tacked on to a movie about exploring the forest.

Avatar – Sam Worthington Chase clip!
![]()
The frequency of Avatar news has heated up as we are only a couple days away from the theatrical release (December 18th)! This new clip (check out another recent 3-minute clip) is of Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana (at least her voice) in a chase scene, riding Pandoran banshees and chased by Leonopteryx. What are those? Questions like that reveal the importance of the “jump”.

Avatar – 3-minute clip!
![]()
Another look – this one 3 minutes long – at James Cameron’s Avatar to add to the two others we’ve posted here this month. There’s been a ton of clips, tv spots and trailers, but this one has a scene I haven’t seen the majority of elsewhere. Seems like initial buzz (that I’ve seen) for early screenings is positive–can’t wait until we get to find out for myself!
