The Marvel flaghship enters the Heroic Age, with Brian Michael Bendis and John Romita Jr. bringing us the story that has ton of options for cover preferences with Romita Jr., John Romita Sr., and Marko Djurdjevic each delivering the goods! We have a preview for you from Avengers#1, which hits stores on Wednesday, May 19th. [...]
Kick-Ass – movie review
Kick-Ass lives up to its name. Best movie I’ve seen at the theater in months. I had pretty high hopes going in–all the bad reviews I saw were focused on how violent it was, which just made me more excited–and sometimes that kind of anticipation makes the actual movie experience a let-down. Not so in this [...]
Kick-Ass – French Red Band & Chloe Moretz clip
Just a quick post here of kick ass consequence, as I ran into a couple more looks at the Matthew (please do Bloodshot) Vaughn directed film adapting the Mark Millar and John Romita Jr. comic. Moretz gets headline status at BSC because of all of the promo material with her as Hit-Girl being on point. [...]
Kick-Ass Red Band Clip
Well, we talked about the probably not involving Matthew Vaughn and Bloodshot earlier this week, it’s now time to go back to the really happening, kick-assing (yeah) that’s about to storm U.S. theaters. To get us more even more ready, Lions Gate has released a new Red Band clip through MSN. I hope Kick-Ass does [...]
Kick-Ass and Red Mist Cruisin’ – New Clip
I really haven’t been able to keep up with tall the Kick-Ass promos. All of it is hot to death, but I can’t post every new poster released at 30 new websites every other day, so it has been a minute since we talked about what is actually the single movie I most want to [...]
Doomwar #1 – Preview (Marvel Comics)
A little John Romita JR. to kick it off on the cover! Then, Jonathan Maberry (solid horror writer there), Scoot Eaton, and Will Conrad bring us Doomwar#1, and BSC has you covered on a preview from Mighty Marvel! I want to note that the issue (at least the publicity preview) credits Eaton as the artist, [...]
New Kick-Ass International Trailer and Poster
This is a bit different from the trailer released a couple of weeks ago, to what I’m calling THE 2010 film that I have to see. Released by MSN UK, this is more looks at Matthew Vaughn’s Kick-Ass, the comic book series from Mark Millar and John Romita Jr. Also today, Empire released a new [...]
Shut Up. Kick-Ass – New Poster!
Have to love everything Kick-Ass so far, and how what HitFix is calling the final one-sheet for the film brings it all together! After a number of promo images/poster released featuring single characters – some with synergy – we get a group-shot for the film coming out this April. Directed by Matthew Vaughn and adapted from the comic by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr. This has been one of my favorite campaigns to watch over the last year or so (though I said the same about “9″ which apparently did not impress).

New Kick-Ass Trailer!

In regards to Kick-Ass we’ve been getting rather character specific and clip thus far, like this fantastic look at Chloe Moretz’s in action as Hit-Girl, and a spotlight on Nic Cage’s Big Daddy, among sneak peeks which has vaulted Kick-Ass, a Matthew Vaughn adaptation of the comic book series of the same name, to the movie I most want to see this year. I can say that the rather choice promotion of the film itself has done this, as prior to while I was certainly familiar with the comic book property, I was not reading it. This latest trailer – debuting from Yahoo – offers a wider view of the film’s plot.

Kick-Ass Character Posters!

IGN has brought to the interwebs character posters from a movie that I can’t wait for to hit theaters. We have Dave Lizewsk (Aaron aka Kick-Ass played by Aaron Johnson), Hit-Girl (Chloe Moretz) (sweet promo pic), Big Daddy played by Nicolas Cage, and Christopher Kintz-Plasse (McLovin!) as Red Mist.

Kick-Ass Comic Con clips

Not (nearly) the best of quality, but a series of clips to Matthew Vaughn’s Kick-Ass (which we previously posted about here) have made their way online. They seemed to have garnered tremendous positive buzz from the event.

Kick Ass looks kind of . . . KICK ASS
Full disclosure: I’ve never read the comic. So, no anticipation based off source material for me. Regarding the creators, I like some of Millar’s work, but there is an equal amount that I’m completely indifferent on, and Romita . . . well Romita goes through phases . . .
