A line like, “When a Cimmerian feels thirst, it is a thirst for blood,” lets you know that a ‘General Audience’ trailer just isn’t going to cut it. Fortunately, the new ‘Red Band’ trailer for Conan the Barbarian gives you a pretty good idea of what to expect. We’re talking about Conan here and ‘Red [...]

Conan the Barbarian the reboot is coming to a theater near you, in 3D no less, on August 19th of this year. I don’t know that this gory adaptation will be for everyone, and to prove that Conan is no pretty boy, the French site, Fantasy.fr, has released some stunning, if not blood soaked film [...]

Conan the Barbarian… He cannot be controlled and he’s coming with vengeance in his heart. Gods, men, wizards, and monsters beware! This August the man with the sword returns to the big screen, this time acted by Jason Momoa and unleashed via LionsGate. The Honolulu-born actor has been seen in Game of Thrones, Stargate: Atlantis, [...]

While some are still complaining about the sacrilege of rebooting a title that made ‘the Ah-nuld’ a household name, the studio continues to roll out the promos to build up excitement for the new Conan the Barbarian, and IGN Movies has revealed the latest little goody. The first little teaser trailer we saw did more [...]

Conan the Barbarian assaults theaters in 3D beginning in August thanks to LionsGate. Jason Momoa is Conan this time around, taking the reigns from Arnold Schwarzenegger, who enjoyed the role in the past. As a great fan of Robert E. Howard, the writer who created Conan, I have to say I’m not 100% sold on [...]

Marcus Nispel’s remake of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s cult classic, Conan the Barbarian, has been renamed – wait for it – Conan the Barbarian. The film was originally titled Conan 3D but Lionsgate decided the name didn’t pack a punch that was worthy of the muscle-bound Cimmerian. Actually, the original title was Conan the Barbarian, but it [...]

Titties in a promo still–a very bold marketing decision, but one that I have no problems with. Marcus Nispel’s upcoming Conan reboot, based on the classic character by Robert E. Howard, is shaping up to be epic. While Nispel is sort of 1-for-2 with me–did not care for the Friday the 13th remake, but thought [...]

Casting for Conan continues as Rose McGowan has been cast in a role that Variety described as an “evil half-human, half-witch”. Unlike the other recent casts, I don’t think I see a role that fits from a post we have describing director Marcus Nispel’s principal characters. The last two weeks have seen Rachel Nichols (as [...]

This is one of those “of course Ron Perlman is Conan’s Dad” moments. Even with the some what equally appropriately feeling Rourke being mentioned as a possible choice previously, Perlman was essentially birthed for roles like this. According to NyMag He joins Rachel Nichols, who was cast last week (an appropriately great slotted Sword/Sorcery girl). [...]
