Riverworld V: Gods of Riverworld by Philip Jose Farmer
When a series of novels like the Riverworld series by Philip Jose Farmer concludes, we are often left wanting to read even more. We want to know what happens next to the characters we’ve followed and read about over the course of several novels, and to the planet they’ve lived on. Rarely do we get [...]
The Dark Design (Riverworld III) by Philip Jose Farmer – Review
What is the “dark design” behind the mysterious resurrection of everyone who has ever lived on Earth on the same day on the planet Riverworld? SyFy’s Riverworld trailer

Generally not too interested in SyFy adapting classic books (the whole Le Guin thing still thunders in my mind), but I love Philip Jose Farmer’s work and I just have to give this a chance. In April we reported the casting of Tahmoh Penikett and Smallville’s Supergirl Laura Vandervoort, a month after SyFy announced 3 series, one of which was Riverworld. There is now a trailer for the feature!
Check it out after the jump…

Check who has been added to the cast after jump . . .

I saw Neil Gaiman and John Scalzi mention this, as well as at Farmer’s official site. Man, I don’t even know what to say. Farmer is just one of the real cornerstones of my love affair with fantastic fiction. To Your Scattered Bodies Go is one of my favorite books of all time. Best wishes [...]
