Playstation 3′s UNCHARTED 3: Drake’s Deception Villain Reveal

By Sasha Nova on March 9, 2011

The time is close at hand for Uncharted 3, gamers. Can you handle it? The PS3 release date of the action-packed sequel it very easy to remember: 11-1-11. Just yesterday a press event marked the reveal of the game, subtitled: Drake’s Revenge, and the game’s villain. Or should I say villainess? We heard the announcement [...]

Persona 3 Portable – review

Persona 3 Portable – review

By Lexie C on January 16, 2011

My friend showed me the game Persona 3: FES for the PS2, and it was like a missing piece of my life clicked into place.  An amalgamation of mystery, dungeon crawling, otome game and real life sim, Persona 3: FES began an addiction for me for weeks. Persona 3 Portable, or P3P for short, is [...]

Killzone 3 – Hands-on Impressions: PAX Prime 2010

Killzone 3 – Hands-on Impressions: PAX Prime 2010

By Alberto Diaz on September 10, 2010

Killzone 3 is one of the first full PlayStation 3 games to support 3D. At this year’s PAX, the game was playable in both single and multiplayer and in 3D. Since I haven’t been able to get my hands on a 3D game yet, this was my opportunity. Does the 3D enhance the game, or [...]

E3 2010 – Press Conference Impressions: Sony

E3 2010 – Press Conference Impressions: Sony

By Alberto Diaz on June 17, 2010

Sony’s conference, while being the longest, was actually a bit slender in the games department, mainly because the likes of LittleBigPlanet 2, Killzone 3, Infamous 2 and Motorstorm Apocalypse had all been announced prior to the show. Despite that, there were a few surprises, and overall Sony held a very solid, if a bit overlong, [...]

E3 Press Conference Impressions: EA

E3 Press Conference Impressions: EA

By Alberto Diaz on June 16, 2010

EA held their press conference between the heavy hitters of the 3 console manufacturers and since they aren’t a hardware company, their conference was about games and nothing but games. Because of this, and because of some highlights in their upcoming game releases, EA had one of the better press conferences of the show. Easily [...]

God of War 3 Ultimate Edition, Unboxing on BSCreview March 16th

By B.T. Robertson on February 24, 2010

I hate hype…unless I am the one responsible for generating it. Call me a zealot, that’s fine, but the geniuses over at Sony Santa Monica won me over years ago with the pale-skinned Greek god-turned-mortal, Kratos. God of War has defined the action genre in so many ways, and inspired loads of clones trying to [...]

Dragon Age: Origins (PS3) – Final Review

Dragon Age: Origins (PS3) – Final Review

BioWare hit a critically acclaimed home run with its latest multi-platform dark RPG title, Dragon Age: Origins (see my first impressions). The game is rife with story, characterization, bloody mayhem, sexuality, and moral dilemmas, all of which draw the player into the experience in ways no RPG has done since Neverwinter Nights. But was the switch to a console version a seamless translation, or did something get lost? The answer is a bit more complicated than yes or no, so keep reading and discover the truth behind one of the greatest RPGs of all time.

When was the last time you took a nose dive into the Rabbit Hole? Or maybe allowed yourself the slight indulgence of a 150+ hour jaunt through a haunted landscape? If the answer to that question begins with the word “Neverwinter,” you need to finish reading this enlightening first impression, then get to your local video game watering hole and pick this gem up.
