Disney Digital 3D brings you a brand-spanking-new gem on November 24th with Tangled, a reimagining of the Rapunzel fairy tale that sees Mandy Moore voicing the captive princess and Zachary Levi stepping into the role of rescuer. Previous BSC coverage has included some enticing looks at the concept art and a teaser trailer for this much-anticipated outing.

Disney rarely misfires in the animated department. In fact, I’m having trouble thinking of any past failures, though admittedly I am not trying that hard. Nevertheless, get ready to see this one whether you want to or not. From these images, it looks like a delightful little yarn that kids will really dig, and if you have any of those in your life, you know this is the sort of thing they can’t resist.

From the earliest photos released, BSCkids has followed the Rapunzel reboot Tangled from Disney. We’ve also brought you a teaser and a trailer. Now we’re proud to announce that Disney Animation Studios Facebook Page released some tantalizing new concept art. Featuring the voice work of Mandy Moore (in the role of the legendary princess with the long golden locks) and Zachary Levi (as the charming rogue Flynn Rider), Tangled is shaping up to be another in the company’s long lineage of fairy tale adaptations, joining such classics as Cinderella, Snow White, and The Little Mermaid.

While little is revealed about the plot or character details in these stills from the movie, the lush scenery and crisp artwork is enough to further whet your appetite. Tangled hits theaters in Disney Digital 3D on November 24th.

Here’s a teaser for Disney’s Tangled that debuted online via YahooMovies. An animated feature based on the Rapunzel story, it stars the voices of Mandy Moore & Chuck’s Zachary Levi. Now you may be taking a doubletake because this project was once going under the name of (or be referred to as) “Rapunzel”, but as we noted over at BSCkids last February, it was now officially called Tangled. Also over at our sister site, we brought you a teaser and the news that Levi and Moore would be joined by Donna Murphy. Expect Rapunzel in 3-D this November!

Film Synopsis - When the kingdom’s most wanted — and most charming — bandit Flynn Rider hides out in a mysterious tower, he’s taken hostage by Rapunzel, a beautiful and feisty tower-bound teen with 70 feet of magical, golden hair. Flynn’s curious captor, who’s looking for her ticket out of the tower where she’s been locked away for years, strikes a deal with the handsome thief and the unlikely duo sets off on an action-packed escapade, complete with a super-cop horse, an over-protective chameleon and a gruff gang of pub thugs.

Previously we posted concept images for the project and over at BSCkids we have more recent news on feature including the addition of Tony Award winning Donna Murphy to the cast and Levi talking about his role in the film. Rapunzel, described as a 3-D musical/comedy, his theaters next November.

Levi is obviously the star of NBC’s Chuck and among other things, Moore might have made me cry in A Walk to Remember.Empire notes that we should be looking at a 2010 release.

It’s very hard to get a gauge, because I don’t care if it’s movies or car design–it seems like all concept artists are bad asses. /Film is also reporting that it’s rumored that the voice cast includes David Schwimmer, Matthew Gary Gubler, Kristin Chenoweth, Dan Fogler, and Grey DeLisle, and it’s coming from a duo that worked on Bolt (which wasn’t bad), Byron Howard & Nathan Greno (they also have a hell of breakdown on the (short) history of the project’s production, so check that out).

Rapunzel is scheduled for the 2010 Christmas season.
