Review – Warehouse 13: “Pilot” (1.1)
The Sci-Fi Channel, newly dubbed Syfy, premiered its brand new supernatural drama/comedy Warehouse 13 last night. The show is being called a mix between X-Files and Moonlighting, with a dash of Indiana Jones.

Warehouse 13 debuts today on SciFi and is what I am calling (perhaps too optimistically) their first stab at post-BSG success. Back in May we posted the trailer and clip. Because pictures make people who have decided against watching a show change their minds in the last minute, we now have some promo images.

Alien Nation remake from Sci Fi
Variety is reporting that Sci Fi is working on developing a remake of Alien Nation, the 1988 feature film (and subsequently a TV series).

Battlestar Galactica: The Plan trailer
The Plan, a 2-hour made for TV movie that serves as a prequel for Battlestar Galactica now has a trailer. It will premier on the Sci Fi Channel in November. It’s an interesting project because it views the conflict from the perspective of Cylons.

Stephenson’s The Diamond Age set for SciFi with a writer
Though lets be honest it probably won’t resemble Stephenson’s book. The Diamond Age is being produced by George Clooney (along with Grant Heslov).

Warehouse 13 trailer and clip

Warehouse 13 is a new show coming from Scifi (SyFy) starring Eddie McClintock and Joanne Kelly, and created by Rockne S. O’Bannon, the creator of such SF familiar names like Alien Nation, seaQuest DSV, The Triangle and Farscape – shows that a lot of SF fans have mad love for, that I have to admit don’t really move me in any extreme way.

Sci Fi and Will Smith – Unfinished Business
THR is reporting that Sci Fi is teaming up with Overbrook Entertainment – a production group that includes Will Smith – to bring Unfinished Business a new two hour movie that could also serve as a pilot for a new series.

new Battlestar Galactica: Caprica clip
UGO has made available a new clip from Caprica (The Battlestar Galactica spin-off). Caprica will be on Sci Fi (next year) and DVD (April 21st, 2009).

Farmer’s Riverworld cast by Sci Fi: Supergirl and Helo
Last month BSC reported that the late, great, Philip Jose Farmer’s Riverworld would be adapted by the Sci Fi Channel to be aired next year as 4-hour movies, with the possibility of spinning into regular series.
