Big fan of Westerfeld going back to his Risen Empire work and I’m glad something cool is released because I always find myself desperately looking for cool book news to note. Over at his bog, Westerfeld has released some of Keith Thompson’s art from from his forthcoming book, Leviathan, set to be published by Simon & Schuster in October.

On Ghostwriting by Scott Westerfeld
I’m back with an addition to my mini-project of representing some of my favorite articles, essays and manifestos that I’ve read either online or elsewhere from authors and creative types! Today, BSC is representing an article by NY Times bestselling novelist Scott Westerfeld. Westerfeld’s work includes being the author of both the Uglies and Midnighter series’, as well as the Succession duology (later collected). His Evolution’s Darling was noted as a New York Times Notable Book, and in 2006 both his Peeps and Uglies were recognized by the American Library Association as ‘Best Books for Young Adults’ for the year.
