At the beginning of the month BSC featured a guest article by Freddie Williams III regarding his The DC Comics Guide to Digitally Drawing Comics (published by Random House). Today we present the foreword from the book, written by Brian Bolland. Bolland is simply of the greatest artists working in the field. From his work in 2000 AD, Judge Dredd, Camelot 3000, The Killing Joke, Animal Man, to the covers to Invisibles and Wonder Woman–Bolland is one of the most decorated artists ever, and one even the most lost or jaded of pundits cannot dispute.

This is another guest article hosted at BSC, where we bring you the actual talent to talk shop about their craft or current project. Today, we have piece by Freddie E. Williams II, whose work you might have seen on titles like Flash, Robin, (DC Icons, baby), or not to mention the artist of some very cool Darkseid splashes from Countdown. He has a book coming out this month from our friends at Random House called The DC Comics Guide to Digitally Drawing Comics, and he’s dropping by BSC to give both fans and creators some insight on its path to publication.
