Geek Girl Navigating the World: In defense of the popcorn flick
I have a tendency to get very frustrated with so-called “chick flicks.” Largely because, if I want to have a good cry, it’s probably a far more reliable bet for me to go out and drop a shovel on my foot or throw myself down an exceedingly large hill. I freely admit that when it [...]
Zoe Saldana and The Losers – Promo Pics
A movie that knows how to pimp it stars in its promo releases. Continuing the Zoe Saldana-centric (or it could just be that I only note those type?) promo material are a large group of images from The Losers, the film based on the Diggle and Jock comic book that’s set for an April 24th [...]
New image of ‘The Losers’
The LA Times did a write-up on the The Losers, the upcoming (April 9th) film we talked a bit about yesterday when we posted the trailer–which seems to look damn fun. With the article came a image I haven’t seen before, that’s a “real Life” version of previous posters we’ve seen for the film. Every [...]
The Losers Trailer – Zoe Saldana!
“That’s a bad ass chick” indeed! The trailer for The Losers has hit the web. Previously we’ve posted some promo images, this batch from November showcasing a team-shot and one with Saldana in action, and another from October of the actress on set. Saldana isn’t the only one kicking ass, as she’s in a cast [...]
The Losers Promo Images – Zoe Saldana Blastn’!
Over at Collider I saw two new and first official looks at The Losers (in October we got a sweet look at Zoe on set). One is a group/team shot and the other features Saldana in action in the film based off of the Vertigo Comic by Andy Diggle and Jock. Admittedly not the most inspired promos, but a reasonable introduction.

Zoe Saldana – first look at The Losers

Well, to begin with, The Losers is a sweet comic. Even before theDiggle/Jock Vertigo run, I’m a huge fan of DC war in general and love the old DC War books, many of which had sweet art from the likes of Joe Kubert, Russ Heath and John Severin. In April of 2010 we are set to get a film adaptation of the comic. Among the cast is Zoe Saldana, and via EW we get our first look at her as ‘Aisha’.
