A couple of weeks ago I posted information about Top Shelf’s promotion of Surrogates, a title being adapted into a film starring Bruce Willis. Also in that post was a featurette for the movie. Today Myspace released a new trailer.

Check it after the jump . . .

The Surrogates preview + more

The Surrogates preview + more

By Jay Tomio on May 11, 2009

surrogates1Last week I got the Top Shelf newsletter with some Surrogates information related to sales of the comics and promo material to support the forthcoming film. If you aren’t familiar with the title, I’d first say that I wouldn’t confuse the source material for Surrogates with another of these movie-options-a-day comics you see pop up (some of which aren’t even published yet). It’s actually a very solid comic and you can picture somebody reading it and thinking that it has merit. Yesterday, a preview/featurette was released for the film (starring Bruce Willis) via standard movie media (not Top Shelf) so I figured it’s a pretty good time to collect them all now here.

Watch them after the break . . .

News – Moore New Lost Girls and Gentlemen from Top Shelf

By Jay Tomio on January 31, 2009

lost girls alan mooreTop Shelf’s newsletter has announced the availability of more Alan Moore goodness in this month’s Previews!

They have the next installment of Moore and Kevin O’Neil’s wonderful League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (don’t let the movie fool you!) called Century (part I or III).

They also are announcing a new hardcover edition of Lost Girls, Moore’s collaboration with Melinda Gibbie. I got this when it first came out, but this is actually an affordable copy!

Graphic Novel Review – Micrographica

Writer: Renee French Cover Artist: Renee French Publisher: Top Shelf Productions Publication Date: April 2007 Format: Paperback A surrealist work about disgusting little rats and a crap ball, what could possibly go wrong? “Micrographica” is a very small, square book. The original illustrations for the work were only a square centimeter because the author claimed [...]
