On the Road Poster – Stars Kristen Stewart and Garrett Hedlund
Will today’s youth identify with the work of Jack Kerouac? We’ll find out soon. The American novelist and poet is remembered as the father of the Beat movement. Published in the late 1950s, his book On The Road has inspired the film of the same name, produced by Francis Ford Coppola, and directed by Walter [...]
Viggo Mortensen Zod in Zack Snyder’s Superman?
“Come to me, son of Jor-El, kneel before Viggo,” or something to that effect might be heard in the Christopher Nolan/Zack Snyder reboot of Superman, according to THR. Viggo Mortensen is considered to be a ‘person of interest’ for the role of General Zod, although no talks have started yet, and plans could hinge on [...]
Viggo Mortensen The Huntsman in Show White?
Wow! The dust has barely settled from the news that Javier Bardem landed The Dark Tower role that Mortensen was also being considered for when Variety brings word that Viggo still has a full schedule. It looks like the man who will forever be Aragorn to me is headed to Universal to play the huntsman [...]
Keira Knightley in Cronenberg’s A Dangerous Method pics
BSC would like to thank ComingSoon.net for these great pics of Keira Knightley in David Cronenberg’s latest, A Dangerous Method. The film centers on a conflict between Sigmund Freud (Viggo Mortensen) and his pupil Jung (Michael Fassbender) with a troubled Sabina (Knightley) caught in between. The period drama is certainly not summer blockbuster fare, but [...]

The Road – movie review
The Road is, unfortunately, a boring movie, and the title might as well be Sittin’ Round the Campfire. The Road, by Cormac McCarthy, is one of the very best books of the decade, and this adaptation falls flat for about half the running time. There are good actors, moments, and visuals, but the whole isn’t more the sum of its parts.

The Hobbit – Guillermo del Toro in, Aragorn Out
Just catching up on a bit of new for The Hobbit adaptation. Comingsoon talked to Viggo Mortensen (who was promoting The Road) about his possible return Middle-Earth as Aragorn, and were told that it’s more than likely that the character would not be in the first film–remember the story will be split into two films. Further, the director of the film, Guillermo del Toro, confirmed he (del Toro) would be appearing.
