PIXAR’s First Coco Trailer Jams Out to End

March 15

Pixar debuts the first trailer for their next feature, Coco, and it ends with a bang.  At first I didn’t think I was going to be too into this one, even though I should have learned my lesson with Inside Out, though admittedly the Pixar floor is still not absolutely awful either.

That said, I will admit this first trailer took awhile to hook me even though I know when the film comes out it will be the quieter moments in Pixar films that will win me over. No matter the tone, however, this Coco trailer is gorgeous, as one would expect coming from Pixar, who not competes in-house with a rejuvenated Disney Animation studios for bragging rights and children’s (and adult’s) hearts in theaters (indeed, Beauty and the Beast is coming out this week). Lee Unkrich is helming this one, and he has Toy Story 3 on his resume as his first solo directorial debut after co-directing Toy Story 2, Monsters Inc, and Finding Nemo.

Coco is set to hit theaters just in time for the holiday season on November 22nd.
