Ah I agree with Debbie. My theory is she was being brought up as a female by her control freak mum. That’s what caused the psychological desturbance a the time of ‘her’ descovering sexuality. Another scene to support my view was when she was standing in that big hallway waiting for the director. She was drawn to looking at the statue of the black swan with a mans face and testicles.

I have to agree with your review Elena – Black Swan is hands down the best movie of the year. someone just hand natalie the darn oscar already! there’s another great review of the movie over here, said a lot of what i thought:
