hi , got the book on monday and i just finished it last night friday! it was that quick,i read comments on imdb saying it was a hard read, complicated to follow( obviously not from a fan) so i was kinda iffy, let me just say that prologue was bad-ass A+ i was shivering and biting my nails by the time i was done, i was freaked out sensing i was about to enter an unknown world that would be unlike anything i’ve read before, the last fantasy book i’ve read was LOTR way back in 2OO1, guess i’m more of a scifi gal than fantasy really but this book is just amaZING! i’ve ordered book 2 and waiting now so checking this blog out as it was recommended to me on imdb

This is definitely an interesting read. If I hadn’t reread the books two months ago I would have probably been tempted to pick them up again.

This is better though, I get to see what a first-time reader thinks and try to recall how I felt the first time I fell into Martin’s world. Keep it up, guys!

Martin’s prologues really are amazing. I love how he can create a character and off him in one chapter… and it actually have an affect on you as a reader. Pretty damn impressive.

I’m really looking forward to Dance’s prologue. Martin’s been working on it for years and based on the summaries I’ve read, it sounds like it will be his best one yet.

I promised myself I wouldn’t let your read-through sway me into re-reading Thrones for the umpteenth time, but Others take me, just reading ABOUT the first prologue sends a familiar chill down my spine.

I’m sure my will to resist will be completely eroded by tomorrow. Looking forward to it too.
