i loved Rickman also. BUT i hated 7'2 movie. it was too dark. i did watch the 3D. this was to be a movie of hallows and horocruxs. the hallows was left out mostly. they did not explain harry's wand and broke the other. ridiculous! i was waiting for the major scene in the end where riddle and harry fought. it was demoted, in my opinion. it was not in front of others. it did not 'vindicate' harry. i hated that. the ending in the book was funny. there was no humor in the movie ending. i was so very disappointed.

Thanks you so much for a brilliant review of the amazing last film, and especially the breathtaking, stunning, heart-wrenching performance given by Alan Rickman! He deserves an Oscar for....for something hard to put into words. I was brought to tears, as I knew I would, by Rickman's spellbinding performance! :) Academy voters: please PLEASE- if you are reading, nominate him for the much deserved honor, better yet: award him with it. While the rest of the film was also fantastic and amazing and any other good words about it that I can think of, it, as I'm sure we all know, was all about Snape. At the end of the day, in the magnificent film and among all the great performances, Alan Rickman stole the show in every meaning of the phrase! He gave that character the emotional range and stark truth that I believe no one else could possibly have given! The movies and series may be over, but they will always be around and deeply cherished and loved! :)
