I nominate Ann Savage as Vera in Edgar Ulmer's "Detour" the classic B movie. She was to coin a phrase from "House of the Rising Sun" She was the ruin of that poor man. Of course Tom Neal was found guilty of killing his wife in real life.
My personal fave listed here is Nicole Kidman. No I don't condone her character. I just love her and Joaquin's acting. Hot steamy couple too!!!
I like too she starred in his first adult pic.
One personal note. A close female relative decades ago met Margaret Hamilton. The actress was starring in a local production in Summers Point NJ. She was nothing like her character in 1939 "Wizard of Oz". One more trivia. 1954 James Dean, same theater, starred in Moliere's"The Immoralist." He was a complete unknown then.

All worthy of honorable mention, but I'd like to remind you that Joan Crawford would have killed any one of them in the crib. I always post a gatekeeper at the bottom of the list.
